Marie-Pier Diamond is a self-taught director, director of photography, and editor. Driven by a passion for cinema since her teenage years, she began her career at just 19 years old. Her journey has led her to explore various formats, from commercials to music videos and short films, collaborating with renowned clients and agencies such as Datsit Sphère, Attraction Médias, Bell Médias, RDS, TopTop Outfit, Josée Lavigueur, Isabelle Huot, Gray Collection, the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, and more.
She has directed several television commercials, including one for the clothing brand TopTop Outfit, which aired on the show Dans l'œil du dragon.
In 2021, she made her television debut as co-director and director of photography for the first two seasons of the extreme sports documentary series Virage Extrême, broadcast on RDS. She also produced and directed the short film Volte-Face, which was selected for the Image + Nation Culture Queer festival. Her venture into science fiction with her short film The Status Quo marked a turning point, as the film won the award for Best Visual Effects at the Utah International Festival.
To date, she has accumulated over 20 wins and 24 nominations in various festivals worldwide as a director of photography on multiple fiction short films. Constantly seeking visual innovation and new cinematic experiences, Marie-Pier Diamond establishes herself as a bold creator on the audiovisual scene.
